Cinnamon arrived Nov. 12, 2012 in a group of five ferrets. Four of them were in late stages of starvation, including him. After two good meals, this large boned boy weighed in at 1 pound, 8.5 oz., well short of the estimated 3+ pounds that he should weigh. His belly is slowly being conditioned to having food via raw soupie. As he gains weight, he will be transitioned to more solid grinds and then occasionaly chicken wings. Like the others, he has taken to the food very well and is starting to gain weight and get his energy back. Once he is at a safe weight, his shots will be updated and he will be ready to go home with a new family. Please only consider adopting him if you are willing to continue providing a BARF diet. It can be bought commercially online or locally. Commercial forms usually look like hamburger patties. He gets along with Annie very well. Adoption fee ($75/single, $140/bonded pair) includes shots and a sample of food. Ages are estimations as tooth wear can vary due to diet and cage biting. Current food mix: BARF/ raw commercial diet, mostly purchased from hare-today.com.
